Online Public Meeting - April 26, 2021
The Dormont Junction Station Improvement Project is part of our Station Improvement Program.
This program is aimed at investing capital resources into existing stations along our East and West Busways and Red, Blue, and Silver light rail transit lines to increase ridership and encourage more equitable transit-oriented development. Stations were prioritized based on a detailed evaluation of factors contributing to transit-oriented development, and Dormont Junction rated as one of the high priority locations.
In 2018, stakeholders and the public were engaged to provide feedack on the Dormont Junction Station Area Plan, the ultimate goals of which included providing opportunities for future development at the site, increasing transit use, improving station access and creating a welcoming station design.
The Dormont Junction Station Area Plan is one step closer to becoming a reality! We are now ready to present 30% design for public input. The feedback we receive in this phase will then be returned to the engineering design team as the project moves to 60% design.
