Port Authority's Downtown-Uptown-Oakland-East End BRT service plan calls for a "core" route that runs east-west between downtown and Oakland with three branches that go to Greenfield, Highland Park and through several Mon Valley communities.

61A North Braddock - will become a BRT route and operate from North Braddock to downtown Pittsburgh.
61B Braddock – Swissvale - will become a BRT route and operate from Braddock to downtown Pittsburgh.
61C McKeesport - will become a BRT route and operate from McKeesport to downtown Pittsburgh.
71B Highland Park - will become a BRT route and operate from Highland Park to downtown Pittsburgh. The 71B will operate along North Highland Avenue to Bryant Street, turn left onto Negley Avenue and right at Mellon Terrace. 71B buses will lay over at Mellon Terrace.
P3 East Busway – Oakland - will become a BRT route that operates from Wilkinsburg Station to downtown Pittsburgh via Forbes Avenue .
In downtown Pittsburgh, all of the above routes will reverse their existing loops, entering downtown on Fifth Avenue, turning right onto Liberty Avenue, turning right onto Sixth Avenue, and turning right onto Forbes Avenue before heading outbound.
The following routes will operate from Craft Avenue in Oakland east. They will no longer serve Uptown or downtown Pittsburgh:
71A Negley - will remain on Negley Avenue in Highland Park and lay over at Mellon Terrace.
71C Point Breeze
28X Airport Flyer – No changes currently proposed, but future plans could include shifting the route from Boulevard of the Allies to Fifth and Forbes Avenues.
54 North Side – Oakland – South Side (to North Side) - After crossing the Birmingham Bridge, the 54 will turn right onto Forbes Avenue and turn left onto South Craig Street.
58 Greenfield – The Oakland terminus will be relocated from its existing location at Carnegie Mellon University to another location to be determined, likely closer to central Oakland.
75 Ellsworth (toward Bakery Square and O'Hara) – After crossing the Birmingham Bridge, the 75 will turn right onto Forbes Avenue, left onto South Bellefield Avenue and right onto Fifth Avenue. No changes proposed for service going to Southside Works.
81 Oak Hill (toward the Hill District) – A change of routing is being evaluated that would move the left turn currently made at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies to the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Oakland Avenue. No changes proposed for service going to the South Side.
83 Bedford Hill (toward the Hill District) – A change of routing is being evaluated that would move the left turn currently made at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Boulevard of the Allies to the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Oakland Avenue. No changes proposed for service going to the South Side.
93 Lawrenceville – Hazelwood (toward Hazelwood) – May be unchanged or rerouted onto South Craig Street for a better connection to Carnegie Mellon University.
93 Lawrenceville – Hazelwood (toward Lawrenceville) – Routing through Oakland shifted from Fifth Avenue between Craft Avenue and South Craig Street. At South Craig Street the route would turn left and continue across Fifth Avenue to North Craig Street.
ACCESS paratransit vehicles will be permitted to use the bus-only lanes throughout the project.
ACCESS drivers will be encouraged to pick up and drop off outside of the transit only lanes, whenever possible, to minimize disruption to BRT service.
