Buy a pass! A pass is a prepaid fare instrument that provides unlimited rides for a certain time period within a specific number of zones. Riders who use passes don't need to use transfers!

Port Authority offers thecalendar-based passes. Weekly and monthly passes are valid within a calendar week or calendar month (for example, December 30, 2012-January 5, 2013 or January 2013). Annual passes cover any consecutive 12 calendar months.

Weekly Passes
New weekly passes go on sale each Wednesday. For example, the weekly pass covering 4/7/13-4/13/13 goes on sale Wednesday, April 3 and is sold through Wednesday, April 10.

1-Zone: $25.00
2-Zone: $37.50

Monthly Passes: Provides savings over buying four weekly passes.
Monthly passes go on sale on the 16th of each month and are available through the 9th of the month. For example, monthly passes for April are on sale between March 16 and April 9.

1-Zone: $97.50
2-Zone: $146.25

Annual Passes: Twelve months' worth of rides for the price of eleven!

1-Zone: $1,072.50
2-Zone: $1,608.75

Special Fares

Some riders – including college students and staff, senior citizens and some public employees – may be entitled to free or discounted transit fare under one of Port Authority's special fare programs. Learn more.
