Greenfield Bridge Reconst: Bus Detours

Long-term detours

Beginning on Sunday, September 6, 2015 and for approximately two years, the Greenfield Bridge reconstruction will affect the 52L Homeville Limited, the 53L Homestead Park Limited, the 58 Greenfield and the 93 Lawrenceville-Oakland-Hazelwood bus routes.

Bus routes will be adjusted as a regular service change and will be reflected in the timetables.  This will help buses remain on schedule and protect the reliability of the routes for riders. Port Authority developed changes to maintain as much regular routing as possible and to match previous schedules as best as possible.

The bus detours will start on September 6th with Port Authority’s regular quarterly service changes, about six weeks ahead of the bridge closing. This will allow operators and riders to become familiar to the new routes and schedules sooner than motorists, which might help this transition. Port Authority will continue to review the routes during the detour period to determine if additional changes should be made.
