Port Authority publicly solicits proposals on purchases for equipment, events, supplies, and construction and professional services that are anticipated to be in excess of $50,000. Advertisements for most of these events are placed in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and the New Pittsburgh Courier as well as trade journals when appropriate. Approximately 115 such contracts are advertised and subsequently awarded by the Port Authority Board each year.
