Government Relations

Funding and policy decisions in Harrisburg and Washington D.C. impact everything that Port Authority does – from buying fuel and paying drivers to buying vehicles and maintaining or expanding infrastructure. Ultimately, these decisions impact riders through fares and service levels.

It is more vital than ever for public transportation in Allegheny County to have strong representation. We can’t afford to sit back and expect that someone else will represent the transit needs of this region.

Port Authority engages specialized firms that skillfully and persistently represent our riders. Posted below are all active lobbying contracts, including contract documents (links open as PDFs).
