About the Work
The project is estimated to cost $28 million and is expected to run from February 2025 for about nine months, to replace more than 1,000 feet of light-rail track insiden the Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel.
Detours
The Mt. Washington Transit Tunnel will be closed to all traffic, including rail and buses. During this closure, light-rail service will be detoured via the tracks that run through the city's Allentown neighborhood, resulting in delays of five- to 10-minutes. Buses will utilize Alltentown streets.
