Mosites Construction Company (Pittsburgh, PA) – Roadway and Ramp Construction
Mosites’ work included the construction of concrete and steel bridge structures and substructures, retaining walls, concrete and asphalt roadway, and foundations. Mosites installed utilities, traffic signals, landscaping and lighting. The company also constructed the 160-space park and ride lot, sidewalk, ADA-ramp and stairway.
Bruce & Merrilees Electric (New Castle, PA) - Design, Build, Operate, Maintain Traffic and Tunnel Operating Systems
Bruce & Merrilees Electric’s work included installing HOV signage (static and changeable message boards), gates, traffic operations center, hardware, software, communications equipment, closed circuit television, and system commissioning and testing. They will operate and maintain the Wabash HOV for two years. This was the first contract ever entered into by the Authority that involves designing, building, operating and maintaining a Port Authority facility.
