The Transit Vision has been led by Port Authority of Allegheny County and the Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission in cooperation with The Heinz Endowments and the public transit agencies within the 10-county region. Major funding for the study was provided by The Heinz Endowments, Port Authority and the region’s public transit operators. Additional funding was provided by the City of Pittsburgh, Steel Industry Heritage Corporation, Port of Pittsburgh Commission and the local branch of the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties.
