Pittsburgh, PA – As a way to promote a healthy lifestyle, which includes using public transportation, Port Authority will provide free rides to and from the WTAE-TV Healthy 4 Life/ American Diabetes Expo on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Individuals wishing to take advantage of the free Port Authority service to the event, sponsored by Giant Eagle, American Diabetes Association and WTAE-TV, must obtain a free ride ticket beginning this Saturday, August 16, 2008 at the customer service desk of the following Giant Eagle stores:

During the event, individuals should visit a “Step Out: Walk to Fight Diabetes” representative located in “ADA World” to receive a voucher good for a free ride home. The voucher must be redeemed at the Port Authority expo booth in order to receive the free bus ticket.
In exchange for offering free rides to the event, Port Authority will receive numerous advertising and marketing opportunities before and during the Expo on WTAE-TV, at area Giant Eagle stores and through the American Diabetes Association. Customers are advised that there is a limit of one ticket per person while supplies last.
