Friday, November 13, 2009

Pittsburgh, PA, Dec. 3, 2009 - Construction activity near the intersection of Allegheny Avenue and Reedsdale Street on the North Shore will continue to intermittently close some lanes.

Police will help direct motorists through open lanes as contractors intermittently close some lanes at the intersection. Most work occurs between 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. and a detour is posted.

The work is part of Port Authority of Allegheny County's North Shore Connector project. This segment of the project includes construction of an above-ground rail line. A new T station will be built over the intersection of Allegheny Avenue and Reedsdale Street. Construction of the 1.2-mile T extension is scheduled to be complete by 2012.
