Pittsburgh, PA – Veterans Day parades in Downtown Pittsburgh and McKeesport will detour bus service on Wednesday, Nov. 11, but buses and the T will run on their regular weekday schedules.
The Federation of War Veterans' Societies will hold its 90th annual Veterans Day parade Downtown from approximately 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Nearly 50 bus routes will be detoured by the parade, which will begin at Mellon Arena and continue to Gateway Center. Full or partial street closures will be in effect for Crawford Street, Centre Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Fifth Avenue, Wood Street, Boulevard of the Allies and Commonwealth Place. Additionally, a Veterans Day Parade will be held along Fifth Avenue in Downtown McKeesport, detouring six Port Authority bus routes from approximately 9 a.m. to noon, or as directed by McKeesport Police.
