Bus, Light Rail Changes for Steelers Home Opener

Pittsburgh, PA – Port Authority of Allegheny County will detour numerous transit routes on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2009 after the Pittsburgh Steelers season opener at Heinz Field.

Routes that will be affected by detours or delays following the game include 16A, 16D, 26A, 26B, 31D and 36C. Also, Beaver County Transit Authority’s route BC1 will be detoured due to closure of the Roberto Clemente Bridge beginning around 6 p.m.

Light rail service will operate with two-car trains all day and fare booths will have extended hours to accommodate larger crowds.
