Overnight Closure of Stanwix Street/Penn Avenue Intersection Continues Next Week

Pittsburgh, PA – To facilitate work associated with the construction of a new Gateway T station, the intersection of Stanwix Street and Penn Avenue will be closed between the hours of 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. beginning Monday, November 3 through Friday, November 7, 2008.

Port Authority Objects to ATU Local 85 Petition Challenging Lenzner Casino Shuttle Service

Pittsburgh, PA – ATU Local 85 President and Business Agent Patrick J. McMahon has filed a petition with the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County challenging Port Authority’s approval of a permit to provide shuttle service between hotels in downtown Pittsburgh and the casino on the North Shore to Lenzner Coach Lines/Coach USA.

Northbound Lanes of Stanwix Street Closed Between Penn Avenue and Fort Duquesne Boulevard

Port Authority Votes To Impose Labor Contract

Pittsburgh, PA – The Port Authority Board of Directors today took definitive action to solve the Authority’s ongoing contract negotiations with ATU Local 85 by voting to unilaterally impose the Authority’s final best offer, a step that is allowed by law when impasse has been reached in negotiations.
