Discount Coupons to be Distributed in Subway Stations

To thank its T customers for their patience during the rehabilitation of the Palm Garden Bridge, Port Authority will distribute coupons good for discounts at participating downtown retailers on Tuesday morning, September 4, 2007 – which marks the return of regular weekday rail service to and from Downtown Pittsburgh.

Service Changes For September

Pittsburgh, PA – Port Authority announces that schedules on some bus and rail routes will change on Sunday, September 2, 2007. Port Authority adjusts schedules several times a year to improve transfer connections, adjust travel times between buses and respond to customer suggestions.

Bridge Work to Periodically Close Portion of Pioneer Avenue

TBM Arrives

Trucks carrying the largest components of the tunnel boring machine (TBM) that will construct tunnels under the Allegheny River as part of Port Authority’s North Shore Connector project are expected to arrive at West General Robinson Street and Mazeroski Way on Saturday, August 4, 2007, at approximately 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Seniors Now Ride Free

Pittsburgh, PA – Port Authority is pleased to announce that effective Wednesday, August 1, 2007, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) will eliminate the peak hour restriction for persons age 65 and older, enabling senior citizens to ride transit for free at all times on weekdays, weekends and holidays.
