Fact Finder Requested In Port Authority Labor Negotiations Monday, June 30, 2008 (665 reads)
Pittsburgh, PA – The parties negotiating Port Authority’s contract with Local 85 of the Amalgamated Transit Union have officially notified the Pennsylvania Labor Relations Board (PLRB) that they will be unable to reach a collective bargaining agreement by the expiration of the contract at midnight tonight. As such, the parties have requested that the PLRB appoint a Fact Finder, as required by the Second Class County Port Authority Act.

Port Authority Adopts Budget for Fiscal Year 2009 Friday, June 27, 2008 (416 reads)
Pittsburgh, PA – The Port Authority Board of Directors today approved a $350.2 million Fiscal Year 2009 Operating Budget that assumes a minimum of $10 million in cost reductions will be achieved through the collective bargaining process with ATU Local 85, the Authority’s largest labor union. Dependent upon these savings, the operating budget also assumes that no fare increases or service cuts will be necessary in FY 2009.
