Committee OKs Full Board Vote on Revised Service Proposal Friday, March 23, 2007 (4160 reads)
Port Authority Board to make final decision on 15 percent reduction March 30
The Consumer Relations/Operations Committee of the Port Authority Board of Directors today forwarded to the full Board a revised staff recommendation that would reduce bus and rail service by 15 percent beginning June 17, 2007, restoring some level of service to 95 weekday, 42 Saturday and 32 Sunday bus and rail routes originally proposed for elimination.

CEO Proposes Major Cost-Savings Initiatives Monday, March 05, 2007 (1607 reads)
Continuing internal efforts to reduce costs, Port Authority of Allegheny County Chief Executive Officer Steve Bland today announced that he would recommend a broad series of initiatives to the Authority’s Board of Directors at its March 2007 meeting. These initiatives are designed to address the Pennsylvania Transportation Funding and Reform Commission’s call for business reforms at the state’s transit agencies.
