Port Authority’s Light Rail Transit System will undergo routine maintenance on Saturday, April 1 and Sunday, April 2, 2006, causing single-track operations and some platform closures.

The Port Authority Board of Directors today approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement with Local 29 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.

Port Authority announces that the following bus routes will be detoured due to upcoming events and construction-related activities:

Port Authority’s Berry Street Tunnel will close overnight for routine maintenance on Sunday, March 19, 2006, causing detours for bus routes which use the West Busway.

Regular phone service to Port Authority’s Customer Service Department was restored at 10:45 a.m. today. Customers can contact representatives through the regular number at (412) 442-2000 or the TTY number, (412) 231-7007, for the speech and hearing impaired.

Port Authority announces that schedules on some bus and rail routes will change Sunday, March 19, 2006. Port Authority adjusts schedules several times a year to improve transfer connections, adjust times between buses and respond to customer suggestions.
