Ten Trip Tickets purchased under the former fare stucture will be accepted as fare payment with a cash drop through March 31, 2010. For example, a rider may use an old Zone 2 trip ticket (worth $2.60) plus a cash drop of $0.15 to pay for a Zone 2 trip.
Incline Fares
Cash fares, passes and tickets are accepted as payment on the Monongahela and Duquesne Heights inclines.
Tokens are no longer sold as a fare payment item.
Children's Fares
Children age 5 and under may ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying passenger using cash or any fare instrument (tickets, passes, etc.). A maximum of four children age 5 and under may ride free with any one fare-paying passenger.
Children age 6 through 11 are entitled to ride for half fare at all times.
Children and teens age 12 or order are defined as adults in the Port Authority fare system and shall pay full fare (unless qualified for disabled fare) or display an adult fare instrument (ticket, pass, etc.)
ACCESS Fare Structure
ACCESS is shared ride door-to-door transit, serving primarily senior citizens and persons with disabilities. This service is available by advance reservation and offers transit throughout Port Authority's service area.
