Express routes travel the busway from the east end and eastern suburbs, offering a traffic-free ride from many neighborhoods. All stations are served by route EBA East Busway-All Stops, with frequent service to Downtown Pittsburgh seven days a week. The EBO East Busway-Oakland provides trips directly to Oakland and serves all stations between Swissvale and Negley inclusive. The EBS East Busway-Short serves all busway stops from Downtown Pittsburgh to Wilkinsburg, and the EBX East Busway Express offers express busway service between Swissvale and Downtown Pittsburgh.

In total, 34 bus routes operate on the East Busway, including 31 express routes that circulate within many communities and then provide a non-stop, traffic-free commute into Downtown Pittsburgh via the East Busway.
