Steel Plaza Subway Station is a two-level station located at the intersection of Grant, Sixth and Ross streets in the heart of Downtown Pittsburgh's financial district. The developable sites are located on the station's mezzanine level. Port Authority's Light Rail Transit System carries about 25,000 riders each day, a figure that is projected to increase by 60% within the next five years. Approximately half of those "T" riders a use Steel Plaza Station while more than 22,000 people work in the immediate area. The station is zoned C5-B, Golden Triangle District "B". One development site is 2, 043 square feet, the other is 6,284 square feet. The two sites can be combined.
Light Rail Transit Service operates seven days a week, 365 days a year. The first morning vehicle arrives at Steel Plaza Station at approximately 5AM The last night time vehicle leaves Steel Plaza Station at 1AM. When not in operation, the stations are locked. |
